Normally you don’t see Nokia Lumia 520 led lights problems. In these smartphones led lights are placed inside the LCD so unless the LCD is damaged itself you won’t see a problem like this. So if your phone’s LCD is working fine but the led lights are not make sure the brightness in the phone is not set too low.
In Nokia Lumia 520 there are 3 led lights and their power comes from the LCD’s flex cable. So if your phone’s LCD led lights have stopped working I have marked all of their jumper ways in this diagram. Make the jumper from LCD connector to it’s corresponding point and hopefully your problem will be solved.

The 1st led light is on the 13th leg of Nokia Lumia 520 LCD connector, it is marked with light blue color and connects to C1364. The 2nd led light is on the 12th leg of the LCD connector and is marked with red jumper line, it is connected to C1365. The 3rd leg light is on the 11th leg of the LCD connector and is marked with yellow jumper line, it is connected to C1366.
